LOCTITE® 242 is a blue, medium-strength threadlocker that secures and seals threaded fasteners, preventing loosening due to vibration, shock, and thermal expansion. It cures anaerobically between engaged threads, ensuring a reliable hold while still allowing removal with hand tools.
•Medium strength – removable with standard hand tools.
•Prevents leakage, corrosion, and loosening.
•Performs on active (brass, copper) and passive metals (stainless steel).
•Resistant to oil, vibration, and industrial fluids.
•Temperature resistance up to 150°C.
• Medium viscosity, Fast fixture, Thixotropic threadlocking adhesive for metal thread sizes up to M36.
